Dear WWF China Country Representative Mr. Dermot O¡¯Gorman,
Recognizing the critical issue of global warming and climate change, and the significance of striving for an environmentally sound 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, I wish to commit to WWF China¡¯s global campaign Go for Gold.
By stating my commitment to Go for Gold, I pledge, to the best of my efforts, to offset the carbon emissions caused by the roundtrip/one-way flight(s) I will make to attend the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
I pledge to offset through a Gold Standard or equivalent project through one of five WWF recommended sales points: www.climatefriendly.com, www.myclimate.org, www.atmosfair.de, www.nativeenergy.com, www.tricoronagreen.com
I will also strive to cut down my Olympics-related carbon emissions through other energy reducing efforts.
In closing, I pledge to complete the full payment of the offsets to the carbon credit sales point prior to the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games on August 24th, 2008.
