Finance &Administrative Officer, Wildlife Trade

Title: Finance &Administrative Officer,Wildlife Trade  (财务与行政专员,野生物贸易)

Reports to: Program Manager, Wildlife Trade                 

Location: Beijing      

Main Responsibilities:

      Reviewing reimbursement bills and entry of financial data into theexcel templates;

      Checking and filing of payment requests and documentation duringproject implementation;

      Working with project staff go through the process of contracts;

      Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts;

      Supporting year end and project audits;

      Working with project finance officer in assisting other relatedfinancial work;

      Assisting the maintenance of the fixed assets records and materialmanagement database;

      Assisting team meetings, seminars and other events related to the projectsincluding travel and accommodation for participants etc.;

      Carrying out other duties as requested by line manager.


Ÿ  University degree infinance/accounting/business administration or related subjects;

Ÿ  At leasttwo-year working experience in finance and administration with solidknowledge in accounting;

Ÿ  Excellent interpersonal skills andability to work independently and in a team, demonstrated ability to work as part of a multicultural,multidisciplinary team is highly desirable;

Ÿ  Proficient in Englishand Chinese, both writing and verbal communication skills;

Ÿ   Experience of projectand conference management is an advantage;

Ÿ   Experience in working in NGOs orinterest to do so is highly desirable;

Ÿ  Excellent computer skills,particularly Excel, and familiarity with the use of accountingsoftware (e.g. Oracle, Sage, etc.) essential;  

Ÿ  Ability to learn in a rapidlychanging environment, and willingness to update professional knowledge andskills;

Ÿ  Proactive,innovative and output-oriented personality with the ability to meet harddeadlines and willing to work under pressure.

Program Brief:

 The Wildlife Trade Program works to ensure that trade in wildlifeand plant is not a threat to the conservation of nature. We work in China incombating illegal wildlife trade, promoting sustainable use of timber andmedicinal plants, and reducing demand for illegal wildlife products. Thefinance and administrative officer will provide great support to the operationof the program and support the whole team.
