Program Manager, Climate & Energy (项目经理,气候与能源)

Title:  Program Manager, Climate & Energy
Reports to:  Practice Head, Climate and Energy
Location: Beijing

Main Responsibilities: 

1. Implement and supervise the Climate Business Engagement & Industry Transition related projects by working with C&E Director.
2. Develop and maintain the partnerships with business sector, related government agencies, academic institutions, donors and NGO peers. 
3. Lead the collection, analysis, coordination, production and dissemination of communication documentations for the Programme to promote and profile the programme within or out of WWF.
4. Build up a capable team. Coordinate and support C&E Director to fulfil people management and coach focus on talent development and competency development of staffs.
5. Leadership with an ability to think strategically, creatively and laterally.
6. Demonstrate adequate interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team with other staff in achieving common goals and ability to work hard and meet deadlines.
7. Prepare and monitor the annual budget of the projects in collaboration with operational staffs.
8. Coordinate and support C&E Director to make AIM review and communication one by one with teammates.
9. Provide other divisions with industry transition related practices and experiences.
10. Design Science Based Target China programme.
11. Perform other tasks as requested by C&E Director.


1. Master degree in related area.
2. At least 8 years experiences in related area, 2-3 years in managerial role is preferred.
3. Good relationship with local communities and working ability.
4. Good communication skills, communicate effectively and efficiently.
5. Proactive, innovative and output-oriented personality.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English。
7. Willingness to update professional knowledge and skills. 
8. Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic skills and good team player.
9. Strong project management skills, results orientation.
10. Experience of working in an international context and the ability to respect and work well with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Program Brief:

This is for business engagement and industry transition project under WWF climate & energy practice. The project portfolio includes Science Based Target, Climate Savers, Climate Solvers, Green Industry Transition, Sustainable Consumption (energy efficiency), and Corporate Renewable Sourcing.  
Programme Manager needs work closely with team members, and to frequently contact with Director of Climate and Energy Practice. Frequent interaction with colleagues from other C&E divisions, Practices, and WWF Network is also needed.
